Your completion of the American Traffic School course will remove a maximum of three (3) points from your Dept. of Motor Vehicles driving record. You are only allowed to take traffic school class once every 12 months from the date the traffic citation was issued.

There is no computer to sit in front of for five (5) hours. There is no internet connection to worry about. The class was created to be dynamic, entertaining, practical and fast paced. The material has great graphics, video and images to move the class along.

In addition to reviewing or learning valuable road survival skills training, for individuals over the age of 55 years, many insurance companies will reduce your premiums up to 15% if you take a DMV certified traffic school course. So you can concurrently remove three (3) demerit points while possibly reducing the cost of your automobile insurance premium. Please check with your insurance carrier to see if they offer you this savings.

The Nevada Dept of Motor Vehicles requires that the class be five (5) hours in length. The class is known to be very dynamic and entertaining and so does not feel that long.

Simply put, yes. We offer the same course in Spanish. All documentation and forms are also provided in Spanish.

Because of the cost of credit card processing, the cost of the course is $40. However, if you pay by check or cash at the time of the class, the cost is reduced to $35. A credit card number is used to reserve your seat. Your fee includes your Certificate of Completion and notification to the Dept. of Motor Vehicles. There are no other hidden fees.

Classes are held several times a month. Weekday classes begin at 4:30pm and wrap up before 9:30pm. Weekend courses are from 9:00am to 2:00pm. As long as all required subjects are discussed and the entire class agrees to take few breaks, we can wrap up early, though this is not guaranteed.

You can always talk with a class instructor at any time from 9:00am to 10:00pm, Monday through Sunday. The school’s philosophy is very straightforward… You should always have any traffic school question answered directly by an instructor.

Your records are only required to be kept for 12 months from the date of your class.

If the judge orders you to attend a traffic school or you are offered a dismissal of your traffic citation, the Dept. of Motor Vehicles will not remove or reduce the points from your driving record.

We allow you to cancel your class for a full refund if you cancel your reservation at least 24 hours before the date of the class. We will allow you to reschedule the date of your class one time at no additional fee.

You will receive an email confirming the date and time of your class.

There is a 20 question open book (true and false / multiple answer) quiz at the end of the class. You may use any notes you have taken to assist you in completing the quiz. If you fail the quiz the first time, you are allowed to immediately retake the quiz again. Your quiz is scored at the time of the class, so you will receive your Certificate of Completion before you leave class.

The school will fax a copy of your Certificate of Completion to the Dept of Motor Vehicles in Carson City the first business day following class.
