Since 2011, Nevada has allowed driverless cars to operate on its roads, in a bid to stem DUI’s, tickets, reckless driving, injuries and fatalities. An interesting tidbit is a special license plate is issued to autonomous vehicles in bright red as an identifier.

It’s a bold idea to completely eliminate DUI’s and actual online DUI schools by 2044, when driverless car features will be mandatory for any vehicle. However, with Google’s $250 million investment into Uber, it seems only rational that once day the need to drive drunk will be destroyed, with the cheap availability of self driving cars picking up consumers from any bar or for any errand in a matter of minutes.
